Objective
The
main objective of this workshop was to transfer the
knowledge on the subject cleaner production options,
its benefits and return on investment.
To
achieve the objective of this workshop, presentations
were given on the following subjects:
1. Benefits of cleaner production technologies
2. Cleaner production technologies
Total 24 participants attended this workshop, out of
these 24, 15 participants were from national institute
of leather technology. A file having presentation on
the aforesaid subjects was presented to the
participants.
Proceedings
The
workshop was started at 3:00 Pm. with recitation of
Holy Quran by Mr. A. Jameel, production manager of
Hussain leather. After the recitation of Holy Quran,
introduction and objectives of workshop was briefed to
the participants by Mr. Majid Hussain, Senior Civil
and Environmental Engineer, CTP-KT.
After the brief introduction of workshop, the
documentary video film which was produced by CTP-KT
team on the subject of CPO was shown to the
participants to demonstrate the implementation
mechanism of CPOs.
After the documentary video film a presentation on the
subject of “Benefits of cleaner production
technologies” was given by Mr. Ayaz Ahsan, leather
technologist of CTP-KT. In his presentation Mr. Ayaz
Ahsan briefed regarding the CPO’s, its benefits,
implementation mechanism and the return on investment.
This presentation was started at 3:35 Pm. and ended at
4.00 Pm. After this presentation second presentation
was given by Mr. Furqan Hameed, Senior Leather
Technologist of CTP-KT.
Second presentation of this workshop was given on the
subject of Cleaner production technologies. In this
presentation Mr. Furqan Hameed briefed regarding the
basic concepts and implementation mechanism of CPO.
This presentation was started at 4:00 Pm and ended at
4:30 Pm. After this presentation question answers and
discussion session took the place where ambiguities of
the participants was addressed by the CTP-KT team.
At the end of workshop feedback was obtained on the
prescribed feedback form. At the end of workshop
certificates were awarded to participants.
